New visitors, greeted by a personal-feeling message in full-motion video, are introduced to the main functions of the Web site and directed to specific sections by visual cues triggered in sequence as the demo progresses, focusing attention on the new interactive services available on the site. “Our website is our primary source for communicating our customer-friendly technology platform,” says Seubert president Brian Long, referring to significant additions such as a searchable staff directory, interactive services, the ability to request a personal auto quote, and a full Resource Center. “It’s definitely a tool, not an advertisement.”
The site was developed using a hybrid of technologies, allowing the Web video to run smoothly and interact with users across platforms, while relying on standard XHTML and Javascript for the navigation and visual cues to maintain ADA compliance and to improve search engine recognition.
